Mathison, Dukes upend Red Wing 5-1
JULY 3, 2010 - RED WING, Minn. - Todd Mathison worked seven innings, allowing one run on five hits, and Mike Ludwig went 4-for-5 as Dundas upended Red Wing 5-1 in a CCVL game on Saturday afternoon at Red Wing Athletic Park.
The Dukes got a run in the first on an RBI double by Ludwig and added two in the second on a run-scoring double by Pat Wadzinski and a sacrifice fly from Carson Jones.
Wadzinski went 2-for-3, Jones 2-for-4 and Sam Maus 2-for-5 as the Dukes won their 12th straight overall and their sixth straight in league play after starting 1-4.
Mathison struck out five and walked one in his first appearance on the mound since rejoining Dundas on Wednesday.
The Dukes (24-6, 7-4 CCVL) play at Northfield tomorrow at 2 p.m.
