Ruud leads Dukes past Cannon Falls
JUNE 25, 2010 - DUNDAS, Minn. - Charlie Ruud threw a complete game, scattering six hits while striking out 11, and went 2-for-3 with a run to lead Dundas past visiting Cannon Falls 3-2 in a Classic Cannon Valley League game on Friday night at Memorial Park.
Ruud walked only one on the mound to improve to 8-1. He scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth after he singled earlier in the inning.
The Dukes' Javier Guevara hit a game-tying solo blast in the second inning after Cannon Falls took a 1-0 lead on a solo homer by Aaron Stein.
The Dukes (20-6, 4-4 CCVL) have now won eight in a row, 11 of 12 and three in a row in CCVL play. They host Hampton on Sunday at 6:05 in a league game that can be heard on 1080 AM, KYMN.
