Dimick deals as Dukes upend Highland Park 3-1
JUNE 4, 2010 - DUNDAS, Minn. - Paul Dimick scattered five hits in a complete game victory as Dukes upended Highland Park 3-1 on Friday night in the first round of the Dundas Invitational at Memorial Park.
Dimick struck out three, walked one and was an out away from a shutout before Highland Park's Ben Kelsey knocked in a run in the ninth with his single to center.
The Dukes scored three runs in the eighth inning on three hits and a Highland Park error. Josh Maus, Robin Moore and Carson Jones had hits in the inning while Mike Ludwig drove in the game's first run with a sacrifice fly. Dundas tallied two runs after a two-out Highland Park error.
Dundas plays St. Louis Park tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the team's second game in the event.
