Dukes hit, pitch past Stewartville-Racine in home opener
APRIL 25, 2010 - DUNDAS, Minn. - Dundas pounded out 21 hits and scored in every inning in a 16-0 win over Stewartville-Racine in the home opener on Sunday afternoon at Memorial Park.
Jeff Brisbois, Charlie Ruud, Drew Johnson and Jeremiah Leiviska combined to hold Stewartville to only two hits in the win. Brisbois and Ruud each went three innings while Johnson and Leiviska each worked one.
Ruud added a 3-for-4 day at the plate as one of five Dukes with three hits -- Greg Brandt (3-for-3), Javy Guevara (3-for-4, 3 RBIs), Josh Maus (3-for-5), Mike Ludwig (3-for-6, 3 RBIs).
Dundas is off until next weekend when they host a pair of non-league games. On Saturday the Dukes welcome Wanamingo at 2 p.m. before a 6:05 game with Albert's Gators on Sunday. Sunday's game can be heard on 1080 AM, KYMN.
